Sen cup

Crafted from Sen (Japanese ash), a wood known for its pale, refined grain. In contrast to the Sakura cup, the Sen cup has a lighter, cleaner presence. Beautiful natural grain, with a smooth texture that feels gentle in the hand. With every use, its character and touch gradually become your own. On the bottom of the cup, a logo inspired by the Sen leaf is delicately engraved. A subtle expression of the wood’s unique character, held within every cup. May each moment with the Sen cup bring a quiet sense of calm.

Quality

Blessed with a climate and natural environment ideal for growing forests, Tochigi is home to high-quality timber nurtured through careful forest management, including thinning and selective harvesting. Throughout the ages, people have been naturally drawn to gather beneath the beautiful Sen tree. Once its life as a tree comes to an end, the wood takes on a new form as the Sen cup, continuing to captivate us.

Hoshino Industrial Co., Ltd.

Kanuma, Tochigi, is a place where the skills of master carpenters and craftsmen, gathered from across Japan for the construction of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, have been passed down through generations. Since 1945, Hoshino Industrial has worked closely with the natural environment, creating products from domestically sourced thinned wood while passing on Japanese craftsmanship and a deep understanding of wood to the next generation.
